#1 Georgia Gwinnett College Falls Short at GGC’s First NAIA Softball World Series (VIDEO)

The Georgia Gwinnett College Grizzlies put together the winningest season in program history, finishing with 53 wins and six losses. Two of those losses came in Clermont, FL at the NAIA Softball World Series as GGC lead off their first ever World Series game with a 7-0 win vs #9 Freed-Hardeman (TN), but fell 4-1 to #4 Science and Arts (OK) and then 7-2 in an elimination affair with #2 seed Oklahoma City University.

In the 6th season of existence, all lead by head coach Kat Ihlenburg, the Grizzlies won their 3rd A.I.I. Tournament title and was ranked #1 in the nation for five straight weeks to end the regular season and was the unanimous one seed heading into the World Series.
